Sunset Short - Dk.Brown CP Waffle

The Sunset Short traces its roots to the traditional rugby short. Also referred to as ‘scrum shorts’ these short-cut bottoms were designed to withstand the strain and wear of high-intensity sport: mud, rain, and numerous tackles, and were typically constructed from cotton. Engineered Garments designer Daiki, wanted to create his own version, keeping the best parts of the original design, while making the garment just a touch dressier - allowing for wear beyond the rugby pitch. Named after the Sunset District of San Francisco, just south of Golden Gate Park. These shorts retain certain sporty elements, such as the inside drawstring, and traditional button flap. However, additional length and plentiful tailoring features - pleating on the short front, triangle stitching on the back, and bar stitches galore - mean these shorts are more dressy than casual.
