Engineered Garments × Red Wing
Irish Setter 3110 Triple Black.
With the renewal of Red Wing’s Oxford model, Engineered Garments have designed a special edition that reflects EG's distinctive style, based on this model. First up is the Triple Black model, featuring a combination of three different black leathers: black chrome, black Abilene suede, and black prairie.
From the moc toe and the storm welt’s big stitches and every other stitch, everything is blacked out, including the traction tread sole and eyelets, creating a fully monochromatic look. While the mixed upper may appear uniform from a distance, up close, you can clearly see the unique textures of each leather, each developing its own distinct patina over time, which will be exciting to watch.
Additionally, in homage to Irish Setter, the model’s foundation, Engineered Garments have used the original Irish Setter label on the main tag, and even the shoebox is designed in the original Irish Setter style. This collaboration blends a retro, classic model with EG’s modern touch, resulting in a truly special project that reimagines the past for today’s era.
Releasing at Nepenthes London on Friday October 11th, 12:00 GMT.
