Gaurab Thakali at Nepenthes London

Starting Friday, June 6th, Nepenthes London will host an exhibition of works by Nepali illustrator Gaurab Thakali.
Based in south east London, Thakali works across disciplines including illustration, screenprint, mural and painting, applying a similarly distinct vibrancy to each medium. Raised in Nepal, Thakali’s work features rich cultural references to the mountainous landscapes, people and architecture of his native country.
Thakali has been commissioned by a number of prestigious editorial clients, brands and record labels including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, Barbican Centre, London Borough of Culture Lewisham, Adidas, Nike, Department of Transport UK, Converse and Young.
8 new works will be displayed publicly at Nepenthes London for the 2 week duration of the exhibition – visit us at 8 Woburn Walk, WC1H 0JL to view the collection.
On Thursday 5th June, Nepenthes London will host a public opening reception for the exhibition from 5 – 9pm, attended by the artist. Drinks will be kindly provided by Wise Wolf, Mud House and Ghost Lab.
