In Focus: Engineered Garments Trans Jacket
For Fall/Winter 2024, Engineered Garments designer Daiki Suzuki has looked back into his early years studying established designers; Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, Stone Island's Massimo Osti, and Giorgio Armani.
With these influences worn openly, the Trans Jacket is a daring, unique piece created for this season. The standout feature – two detachable collars – allows the wearer to express creativity through all sorts of combinations. A classic peaked lapel can be replaced with a sweeping shawl collar, buttoned asymmetrically, worn casually thrown over the shoulder, or in any number of combinations.
The rest of the jacket is kept understated; double vented with three patch pockets, it can as easily be blended into an outfit as it can serve as a statement piece.
