Otakara NYC Limited Edition Embroidery Products

When Satoshi Suzuki founded Otakara NYC in 2021, it immediately caught the eye of Nepenthes founder and Needles designer Keizo Shimizu, who became the first person to make a custom order from the brand. This led to a pop-up event in Nepenthes Tokyo in May 2024, during which Suzuki offered custom one-handed embroidery for visitors.

One year on, Otakara NYC has launched a new project for Nepenthes, with a variety of embroidered products available. The vision of the brand hasn't changed since its inception; motifs include distinctive New York imagery and nods to Native American history. 

Suzuki aims to create a series of products that can be cherished for years and become someone's vintage treasures.
