South2 West8 was founded by Kaname Nagaoka in 2002. Originally Nepenthes Sapporo (South2 West8 is the street address), the brand's experience with outdoor and 'heavy-duty Ivy' items eventually evolved to focus on tenkara fly fishing. Pieces range from technical designs tested in fishing excursions to city-friendly items inspired by the outdoors.
