Needles have produced this exquisite handmade sensu fan with talented artisan makers. The shining papillon motif is applied with gold leaf to the translucent silk surface of the fan. The ribs are karagi-dyed bamboo, set in an outer frame of natural rosewood. The impressive 60-leaf design is considered characteristic of Kyoto fans, and the deep purple silk pairs harmoniously with the rich colour of the wood.
The fan is delivered with a custom carrying case and a paulownia wood storage box.
