Dayton Shirt – Grey Chambray
The Long Dayton Shirt from the Engineered Garments collection sits somewhere between a summer shirt and a lightweight shop coat. Its distinctive collar allows it to be worn as a long shirt or layered as a light jacket.
First introduced as part of Engineered Garments’ Spring/Summer 2012 collection, the Dayton Shirt has become one of the brand’s signature silhouettes. Designer Daiki Suzuki drew inspiration from a vintage US Army military undershirt, borrowing its distinctive stand collar and offset front button closure.
The shirt jacket features a boxy fit that lends itself to versatile layering, whether worn beneath a coat or buttoned up as a standalone shirt. A slightly longer back hem and four front pockets add functional detail, while the overall design remains clean and understated.
