Duffle Coat – Olive 24oz Melton Wool

Named for the fabric's similarity to thick wool produced in the Belgian town of Duffle, the Duffle Coat reached widespread popularity during the late 19th century, when the British Royal Navy made them a standard part of their soldiers' uniform. Seamen prized the duffle coat for its wind-resistant wool construction and roomy bucket hood.
Engineered Garments details are everywhere in this version, starting with the item’s expanded proportions. An emphasis on the oversized fit means wearing the coat large is recommended.
In the spirit of its military functionality, added snap buttons keep the garment securely closed, and large front pockets provide extra storage space. The traditional toggles are replaced with stylish button tabs backed with tonal corduroy. Half-lined with satin, the coat features corduroy shoulder straps, allowing it to be carried off the back if you get too hot. Thigh straps are also added, to prevent it from flapping in the wind should you find yourself in extreme weather.
