The Engineered Garments Sailor Skirt is a new piece that has been added to the collection for this season and is available in different fabrications. The design of the sailor skirt includes a buttoned broadfall front, with an additional back pocket closure, side pockets and split-hem. The zipper was not popular on a wide scale during this century. The zippers that did exist were made of metal and would have corroded in salt, air and water, which is why buttons then took their place.
