South2 West8 × AFFXWRKS

South2 West8 and AFFXWRKS have combined their thoughts to create a limited capsule collection, using core pieces from the South2 West8 catalog, bridging the gap between form, endeavour and the outside. The collaboration offers the duality of function and style by virtue of original methodical ideas and technical-led capabilities. The collection forms as follows and is available in-store & online from Saturday the 16th of November. 

 
The Weather Effect Jacket modes a long zip of the body and a characteristic A-line silhouette design, making it a great garment for town and outdoor use. Two giant zips, which form two pockets and pull cords at the stored-away hood and waist also feature, allowing for the jacket to be altered. Another element that is key, is on either side of the jacket forms a cinch elastic design, adding to the jackets structure. The 'Purge' print used is an original AFFX design used for this collection. 

Boulder Shirt

The Boulder Shirt is a long sleeved track jacket, produced in a lightweight ripstop fabric. The jacket features a stand collar, two zippered side seam hand pockets, with the left pocket being extended and a full length two way front zipper. An elasticated drawstring is used at the hem for an altered fit. The Shirt is finished with the South2 West8 diaskull logo embroidered on the chest.

Track Jacket

The Track Jacket sports a panelled front, providing emphasis on the different use of fabric. Two-way zippers, two side pockets, a drawcord hem and a velcro wrist sleeve, allows the hem and sleeve to be altered as suited. 

Belted Centre Seam Pant 

The Belted C.S Pant follows a relaxed silhouette. They sport a webbing belt, triple-stitched seams in the centre of both legs and overlapping pockets. AFFX have provided the pant with baggy knee pleats, taking inspiration from the traditional arctic over pants, allowing the trouser to be seen a different light.

Belted Centre Seam Pant – Charcoal | Black Gabardine

The Belted C.S Pant follows a relaxed silhouette. They sport a webbing belt, triple-stitched seams in the centre of both legs and overlapping pockets. Instead of the pants usual drawcord, AFFX have implemented utilitarian zips throughout the knees/back and a snap hem closure, allowing the trousers to be arranged/altered for the wearer. 

Mesh Panel Painter Pant 

The Painter Pant sports a sturdy, classical straight silhouette and pockets for storing tools and other various objects. AFFX have equipped their use of a mesh panel in the original 'Purge' print on the front of the trouser, also allowing storage and allocation for other knacks or materials. 

SS Crew Neck Mesh Panel T-Shirt – White | Black Jersey

The SS Crew Neck T-Shirt provides a loose fit. The AFFX 'Purge' print has been used as a mesh under layer for the shirt, where the sleeves can also be used artistically to hang off of the wearer's shoulder, creating another unorthodox look.

Waterproof Head Cover 

The Waterproof Head Cover allows one to wear a piece that can solely be worn alone or on top of the wearers hat or cap. The cross-inspiration forms from mountain/military gear, blending form and function. A truly unique item which can be used all-year round. 

Baseball Cap – Poly Gabardine | Mesh

The Baseball Cap is produced in a polyester gabardine and is finished with both brands' logos. However, where the target is usually situated, AFFXWRKS have implemented their branding printed on the fabric. The skull of South2 West8 is embroidered just beneath. A velcro strap is placed, so size can easily be adjusted.
The mesh option follows an original AFFX 'Purge' print used for the collection.
